  • Beskrivelse: A film view of the Vltava River watercourse. Using the example of the Prague embankment in Podskalí the film shows how the river is being changed. In the future there will be water reservoirs/dams built on the Vltava River (Vrané nad Vltavou, Štěchovice, Slapy, Zvírotice). These constructions will also change the Svatojánské Streams. The river, where canoes and rafts can sail now, will be changed a lot in the future. No longer shall it be necessary to carry boats upstream with the help of horses. Also the Prague watercourse is being changed. The present romantic corners (Bílá skála, quarry Pod Ztracenou Nadějí), with Scout camps on the river side, shall be also a history. In the vicinity of Štěchovice we can already spot the first signs of working activities (excavating of the water bed by a river steam excavator, construction of railway connection between Davle and Štěchovice).
